2019 has been a year of growth, development and success for Buildpass. We’re looking back at our biggest achievements.
With the decade drawing to a close, it seems fitting to take a moment and look back at 2019 and everything Buildpass has achieved.
Since launching in April 2018, our energy and sustainability consultancy has transformed in ways we could never have imagined. What started as a passion project has now become a fully fledged, evolving business.
And so in-keeping with the festive spirit, we wanted to celebrate a few of our favourite achievements from the past 12 months and raise a glass to a year well spent.
We completed our first BREEAM new construction project.
BREEAM (Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method) is the world’s longest established method of assessing, rating and certifying the sustainability of buildings. This year, we were able to complete our first new construction project under BREEAM standards from the design stage right through to planning.
It was exciting to be chosen to lead on such an important job; a responsibility we didn’t take lightly.
We worked closely with the developers throughout the process, leading to an excellent rating achieved.
Construction is now due to start, and we could not be prouder of our involvement in helping them get to that point.
We supported a conversion project right by the beautiful Windsor Castle.
Improving the energy efficiency of historic buildings is far from easy; but we love a challenge.
That’s why we were delighted to be selected to advise on a conversion project closeby to the incredible Windsor Castle.
The project involved us meeting a number of challenges commonly found within historic buildings, providing solutions that would make the development as energy efficient and cost-effective as possible; not least because the client was keen to have electric heating which, in itself, could present complications.
Among our suggestions, we advised on a new waste water heat recovery system for the build to boost their energy performance. This was successfully integrated and we are happy to say we left the client confident with the sustainable functionality of their conversion.
We partnered up with a leading conservatory company.
We believe collaboration is the key to success, and so we were pleased to launch a partnership this year with a leading conservatory company.
The business designs and provides beautiful conservatories for a huge range of homes, but they needed a helping hand advising their clients on the best way to open up their conservatory to the rest of their house.
Which is where we come in; we are now the official advisory partner, supporting them and their clients on the best ways to ensure every single development is energy efficient to the highest degree.
We hope to develop more and more partnerships much like this in the coming year.
We maintained our standard of helping clients pass their air test the first time.
This is an area we know we excel; it’s something we absolutely love being involved in.
This year we continued to work with clients of all sizes and background on their airtightness and ventilation testing. This involved meeting and working intrinsically with the client’s construction teams on site to guide them towards the best outcomes.
The result? Air tests that achieved pass results the very first time. And that’s a reputation we refuse to let go of.
We received fantastic feedback from our clients.
We do what we do because we genuinely want to make a difference; both to wider society and our individual clients. That’s why positive feedback means the world to us.
Throughout 2019, we regularly received glowing testimonials highlighting our proactive approach to the job, our depth of knowledge and our exceptional levels of response to client challenges.
A few of our most prized responses include:
“Very helpful guys, proactive and kept me updated throughout the process. I had SAP calculations, air test, and water calculations all taken care of by Buildpass and would recommend to anyone needing these services.”
“Excellent service by Andrew. Always contactable and fantastic at giving articulated advice. Will recommend his services for sure.”
“Following an online enquiry I got a fast, professional response. Mr Sadler has a technical and practical understanding of the airtight requirements. Mr Sadler was able to provide a fast effective assessment of our airtight needs and was able to respond quickly to attend for an assessment. Reasonably priced but also more importantly has a wealth of knowledge on the subject. Highly Recommend.”
It’s our mission to continue delivering this level of service; one that always has our clients and their unique needs at its core.
